**  SCAM ALERT **

Just droppin’ in to Round Lake

Although it’s been a few years since Esterhazy Online was a fully-fledged news website, (submissions still accepted), I still have great memories of serving the region as a journalist, initially with the Miner Journal, and then independently. Some of those memories involve the Lions Ice Fishing derby at Round Lake. I recall the warmth of the friendships, and the cold of the wind! It was therefore with interest that I came across the photograph above. It was taken just a few days ago, and I have the photographer’s permission to share it with you. It shows a 1955 Cessna 170B sitting on the ice at Round Lake. What a great way to drop in for a spot of ice fishing! My thanks to Cory for allowing me to re-publish this. And by the way… Happy New Year to all of you!
