Ladies, do you fancy making golf an enjoyable part of your summer? Then you need to know about “Esterhazy Ladies Night Golf.” It’s going to be a weekly feature, and the Facebook group states this…

* Come and join us on Monday nights for some ladies night golf!!

* Shot gun start at 5:30 pm every Monday night.

* $3.00 entry plus golf and cart fees if applicable.

* ANY level of golfer welcome!!

Hi Everyone
We are going to have our first Family Fun Night
Friday June 1st (weather permitting)
Tee Off time starts at 5:30 P.M.
Entry fee is $1.00 per person. (if you are not a member you must pay regular trail fees as well).
This week we are going to play “best ball”
We will be teeing off from the 150 yard markers.
Anyone and everyone is welcome. You can come as a single, couple, family, age does not matter.
If you have not golfed and would like to try golfing this is the perfect day to do it.

Alfred Herperger 80th Birthday celebration invitation

Hello – We lived in Esterhazy from 1974-1986 and grew up in Stockholm before that. Mom and Dad have a house at Round Lake now. We would like to connect with as many people as possible for Dad’s 80th. Please join in the 80th Birthday Celebrations for ALFRED HERPERGER on June 9 from 2 – 4 at the Broadview Community Centre at 715 Main Street. Everyone welcome! A light lunch and refreshments will be served.

Stay Safe Course being offered November 18

A “Stay Safe Course” is being held at the Town of Esterhazy Council Chambers on November 18. The course is, “For young people to learn how to stay safe in their environment.” This includes safety at home, walking home, at school, in the community, and more. Attendees must be at least 11 years old. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the cost is $55 per person. Attendees are asked to bring their own bagged lunch. Registration must be by November 10, by calling or texting Michelle at (306) 728-6993.

Youth and adult curling clinics announced

Attention curlers… Want to improve your game? Here’s your chance!

Curling clinics have been arranged for both adults and juniors at the end of October. According to Mark Weiss, “We are having SaskCurl come out for a 2 day clinic the end of October.  Two days for kids and one night for adults. Youth is the same as adult in terms of a cost $10 per person attending.  Names can be emailed or called into me as per the poster.”

Junior curling clinic runs on both Oct 28 and Oct 29, and will feature instruction on:-

  • Basic Sliding Techniques (Line of delivery, balance, PVC devices)
  • Mental focus
  • Sweeping (What sweeping does, technique)
  • And more
