A “Stay Safe Course” is being held at the Town of Esterhazy Council Chambers on November 18. The course is, “For young people to learn how to stay safe in their environment.” This includes safety at home, walking home, at school, in the community, and more. Attendees must be at least 11 years old. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the cost is $55 per person. Attendees are asked to bring their own bagged lunch. Registration must be by November 10, by calling or texting Michelle at (306) 728-6993.
Hot on the heels of the announcement of the special Halloween story time, the Jean Pask Library has released details of an ongoing story time for ages 1 through 4. These events will take place on Wednesday mornings at 10, and although no registration is required, a parent/caregiver must accompany the child. See poster below. Attention curlers… Want to improve your game? Here’s your chance!
Curling clinics have been arranged for both adults and juniors at the end of October. According to Mark Weiss, “We are having SaskCurl come out for a 2 day clinic the end of October. Two days for kids and one night for adults. Youth is the same as adult in terms of a cost $10 per person attending. Names can be emailed or called into me as per the poster.”
Junior curling clinic runs on both Oct 28 and Oct 29, and will feature instruction on:-
- Basic Sliding Techniques (Line of delivery, balance, PVC devices)
- Mental focus
- Sweeping (What sweeping does, technique)
- And more
