Congratulations go out to Esterhazy pharmacist Jenna Kulovany (Pharmasave), on being recognized as the first-ever recipient of the Patient’s Choice Award from the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan.
According to Jenna, “It’s a new award this year in the province of Saskatchewan, and they (The association), put the call out for nominations a few months ago, and they just left it to the public to nominate their pharmacist for going above and beyond. There was a one-page nomination form, and we had them at the store. We did a post on our facebook page, not saying it had to be me or any of our staff, but just in general to recommend a pharmacist with a new award, and that was it. We never heard anything about it until one day the award was in the mail, with a letter saying your patients recognized the work that you do, and are very happy with that.”
The award nominations were open to all pharmacists, regardless of company affiliation, across the province, and it speaks well of the service Jenna provides that she was recognized in this manner. However, she is quick to point out that this is not an individual accolade, but rather reflects the sterling efforts of her entire team and staff at Esterhazy Pharmasave.
Of the patients who voted for them, Jenna says, “I can’t thank them enough. The fact that people have recognized the work that we’ve done is huge. It keeps us doing what we need to do. Thank you so much, it means the world.”
Jenna and her team look forward to continuing to serve their patients from Esterhazy and the local area.
