News from CPS – June 6

  • Noon Gym Schedule: Gr. 10 – 12
  • CPS Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:30 at the school.  If possible, we appreciate having completed registrations at the school in advance of the orientation.  Please call 306-896-2712 or email carmal.kittler@gssd.ca to request a registration form.
  • The SRC will be selling squares for our second annual Poop Lottery.  $5.00 will buy you a square and then on Friday, June 10 at 3:00, the Rooke Ram will be in the playground to offer its droppings! SRC members will be coming around to sell squares starting this week.   All proceeds will go to Free the Children.
  • Quick Grad meeting today right at noon.
  • The next Go Guys session is on Tuesday, June 7th from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
  • The grade ⅚ class is going to Ma’Ceo in Melville tomorrow. Field trip forms are due today!
  • Just a reminder that it is Milk Week. Buy a milk at the canteen and get your name entered for awesome prizes. Box to put your ballots in the bucket in Mrs. Brenner office.
  • Driver Ed. Students and Parents: Please see attached driving schedule or come to the office to receive a copy.
  • Staff:  Extra-curricular sheets are due at the office by 9 am.
  • If you have a small project you would like built or welded, the Millwright class may be able to help out for a small fee. Please contact the school 896-2712 for more information.
  • Registration for the CPS Dirty 20/30 is now open. This year you will have an opportunity to run either 3km or 5km. The first 50 racers registered will receive an authentic Dirty 20/30 t-shirt! Check out our website for more details and registration info! http://dirty2030.weebly.com/
  • There is an Athletes in Action Total Athlete Sports Clinic on July 15 & 16 in Swan River, MB.  It includes a Baseball and a Football Clinic.  It is for athletes 12-18 years of age, both boys and girls. Coaches are former NCAA and US College players.    At the end of the clinic on Saturday, Michael “Pinball” Clemons will be the guest speaker at a closing banquet.
