News from the Museum (AGM and Dusting off the displays)

The lazy, hazy days of summer are upon us and with that we look forward to the June, Hazy Dayz.  One of the traditions of this celebration is the annual Hazy Dayz parade.  With this thought in mind, we would like to highlight one of our local artefacts found in the museum.

This artefact is a 1st prize plaque won by Zeneta School District in the Historical Pageant category at Esterhazy’s Canada Diamond Jubilee parade in 1927.
The following inscription on the back of this plaque was written by Florrie Gray who was a grade 8 student at Zeneta School in 1927.  She is now 104 years old and resides at the Centennial Special Care Home in Esterhazy.
