News from CPS – May 5

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters News:  several of our mentors and mentees participated in the Bowl for Kids Sake.  Congratulations to those who raised at least $50.00 and extra congrats to one who earned the title of the 4th Highest Pledges raised.  Please come down to the office to collect your prize of a bag! (Names withheld for online security – Editor)
  • No Noon Gym activities until further notice – we have drama next week and the stage is getting set up!
  • Track practice will be Monday, Tuesday, and Friday after school next week.
  • Dama practice will be right after school Thursday, as previously scheduled.
  • Yearbook meeting Friday this week.  There will be no meeting Thursday.
  • Book orders are due Friday.
  • Band Boosters are doing the Ottenbreit/Harvest meat sales.  Orders are to be in by May 11 with delivery on May 27.
  • Kindergarten Parents:  In order to include our Kindergarten students in our Agriculture Day in the Field, kindergarten students will attend school Friday, May 27 instead of Thursday, May 26. ** Please NOTE DATE CHANGE
  • Attention parents of students born in 2003 – 2008 (mostly grades 2 – 7). The Solestice Meet (Formerly Hershey) is planned for May 28 in Yorkton. Registration is on-line this year.  Go to http://www.solesticeclassic.com for more information and to register follow instructions for Yorkton Region. This track meet is not school affiliated so parents would be responsible for registering their child(ren) and transporting them to the event. If you have any questions please feel free to call Mrs. Wirl at the school. Thanks.
