News from CPS – April 26


  • The grade 4 girls participated in the Steve Nash basketball tournament on the weekend and they were AWESOME! They didn’t officially keep score, although they probably won every game. Jennifer Garett needs to be commended on her coaching too! The girls really dug deep and gave full energy the entire event!
  • Just a reminder that skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, etc. are not to be used in the school or on school grounds during school hours.
  • Noon Gym Schedule:  K – 2
  • UHL:   The final game will be held on Thursday, April 28 featuring Team Deon and Team Colby.  The all-star game will take place on May 2.  Still looking for 3 – 4 Alumni parents.
  • Track practice is on Wednesday after school.
  • JR SRC are hosting a TWIN DAY on Friday.
  • Senior Band Students:  We are in need of a parent to drive to our concert in Langenburg on Thursday.  If you are able to help, please contact Mrs. McIntyre.
  • Band Concert is Wed night at 7:00.  Any band students who can help set up should arrive around 6:20.  All should be in their uniforms.  Senior Band will travel to Langenburg Thursday night, leaving here at 6:30.
  • Band Boosters are doing the Ottenbreit/Harvest meat sales.  Orders are to be in by May 11 with delivery on May 27.  The order form is attached.
  • Any CMT students interested in attending the one day movie making seminar on May 26 need to let Mr. Blair know by April 29. Remember the cost of $20.
  • There will a yearbook meeting for all committee members today at 12:10 in Mrs. Kaminski’s room.  Yearbook will meet today after school and Thursday.
  • The May lunches are available to order at Orders for the May lunches will close at midnight on Monday, May 2, 2016.
  • Yearbook: Due to some technical difficulties with our on line ordering we have extended the yearbook sale until Tomorrow. .  A copy of the order form is still attached to the announcements.
  • We have also made ordering available through our on-line hot lunch web site,
  • Reminder to Steve Nash parents about tournament dates: the 5/6 girls are on May 1 in Rocanville.
  • Staff:  Newsletter items are due Thursday, April 28.
  • Check your email for an invitation to the UHL All Star game where the UHL All Stars will host the Churchbridge Parents/Alumni All Star team. Dates to be confirmed. To date we have 7 players!
  • Registration for the CPS Dirty 20/30 is now open. This year you will have an opportunity to run either 3km or 5km. The first 50 racers registered will receive an authentic Dirty 20/30 t-shirt! Check out our website for more details and registration info!
