News from CPS – April 21



  • Noon Gym Schedule:  On Friday April 22 team Deon will take on team Brock in the second semi-final. The final game will be held on April 28.  The all-star game will take place in early May.
  • Yearbook meeting today after school.
  • Senior Badminton Conferences will take place on Thursday in Canora. We will be leaving the school at 2:30.
  • Weather permitting we will have a track practice on Friday at 3:30.
  • Pee Wee Badminton practice on Pee Friday from 3:30-4:45.
  • Please bring any homework to the office for Zoe Berger.
  • If there are any students from grade 8-12 that are willing to work at the fire and mine safety rescue on Saturday, please talk to Mrs. Kaminski.
  • Any CMT students interested in attending the one day movie making seminar on May 26 need to let Mr. Blair know by April 29.  Remember the cost of $20.
  • Starting last Monday, CPS students joined a Literacy Challenge to read 1000 books by the end of the month! Students will record the books they read with their teachers and for every book we read, scholastic will donate a book to a charity for children! There will be a prize for a student in each grade that reads the most books, and the class with the most books read will also win a prize!! Get reading CPS!!!!
  • Last chance to get your 2015-2016 yearbook for $40.00!!!! . The deadline for all yearbook orders is April 26. A copy of the order form will also be attached to the announcements.
  • We have also made ordering available through our on-line hot lunch web site,
  • Transition to Grade 10: On Monday, April 25 @ 7:00 grade 9 students and their parents are invited to an orientation evening to prepare for grade 10. We will review the credit system and discuss course offerings for the 2016-2017 school year.  The meeting will be followed by an invitation to attend an open house at our millwright shop.
  • Reminder to Steve Nash parents about tournament dates: the grade 3/4girls are on April 24th in Moosomin, and the 5/6 girls are on May 1 in Rocanville.
  • Check your email for an invitation to the UHL All Star game where the UHL All Stars will host the Churchbridge Parents/Alumni All Star team. Dates to be confirmed. To date Bruce Basken is on the team.
  • Registration for the CPS Dirty 20/30 is now open. This year you will have an opportunity to run either 3km or 5km. The first 50 racers registered will receive an authentic Dirty 20/30 t-shirt! Check out our website for more details and registration info!
