Diabetics face change in health coverage

The Saskatchewan Government is about to enact a change in health coverage that will affect people who suffer from diabetes, and who regularly use test strips to monitor their blood glucose levels.

According to Ryan at Pharmasave, Esterhazy, “As of October 1st, 2015 the Saskatchewan Government is implementing greatly reduced limits on the number of test strips they will cover for a patient to test their blood, based on how their diabetes is currently being treated. I’ve attached an information poster that they sent to us to help inform people.  If anyone has any questions that they can contact our pharmacist team any time at Pharmasave for a further explanation if needed.

The poster may be viewed below. Click on the image to see a lager version.
