Local songbird, Katie Miller, has announced her hometown CD release party. It will take place on May 9 at the Esterhazy Legion Hall. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show starting at 8:00 p.m. The event is open to all ages, and there will be a cash bar available. Admission is $10.
Katie says, “The entertainment will consist of an opening acoustic set featuring myself and my bass player, Kathy Boreen Travis (from Churchbridge), then a set with me and the band that played on my album (Evan Chambers and The Third Alarm), and to close the night off will be a high-energy set of Blues-Rock by Evan Chambers and The Third Alarm.
Here is some info about the band: Evan Chambers & The Third Alarm are a blues rock trio from Regina, Saskatchewan. The group is lead by guitarist and vocalist Evan Chambers, his brother Byron Chambers on bass, and cousin Eric Mazden on drums. The three have undeniable chemistry, having played in different groups together since their early teens. Drawing influence from all forms of electric blues, Evan Chambers & The Third Alarm will take you from searing texas blues to riff laden blues rock and everything in between.
I will have CD’s available for sale, as will the other band.”
